This Privacy Policy explains how Kachiball ("Kachiball", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Kachiball mobile application, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service connects players with sports venues so they can discover courts, book time slots, and pay securely. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. Your name, email address, and date of birth (used to verify that you are 18 or older). If you sign up or sign in by phone, we also collect your phone number.
Profile information. Optional profile photo, sports interests, and preferred language.
Bookings and activity. The venues and time slots you book, your booking history, cancellations, and reviews or ratings you submit.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number, CVC, and expiration are sent directly from your device to Stripe and are never stored on Kachiball's servers. We retain only non-sensitive references (such as a payment-method token and the card brand and last four digits) needed to show and charge your saved method.
Device and notification data. Push notification tokens (to send booking confirmations and reminders) and basic device information.
Usage and log data. App interactions, diagnostic logs, and error reports used to operate and improve the Service.
Waiver and consent records. When you accept platform terms or waivers, we log the document version, timestamp, and IP address as evidence of consent.

2. How we use your information

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including discovery, bookings, and payments.
Verify eligibility (18+) and authenticate your account.
Process payments, payouts to venues, and refunds.
Send transactional notifications (booking confirmations, reminders, and account messages).
Display reviews and ratings and surface relevant venues.
Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Analyze and improve the Service.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

Venues you book. Venue operators receive the booking details necessary to honor your reservation.
Service providers. Trusted vendors who process data on our behalf, including Stripe (payments and payouts), Amazon Web Services (hosting and file storage), our push and email providers (notifications and verification emails), and error-monitoring tools.
Legal and safety. When required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users and the public.
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Payment processing

Card payments are handled by Stripe, Inc. under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Kachiball operates as the merchant of record and facilitates payouts to venues using Stripe Connect. Because card data is collected by Stripe directly, Kachiball never receives or stores your full card number.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account as described below.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and continuously improve our practices.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most profile details in the app, manage notifications in your device settings, and request access or deletion by contacting us at privacy@kachiball.com.

8. Age requirement

The Service is intended only for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it.

9. International users

Kachiball is operated for the United States market and your information is processed in the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be processed there.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service.
